This dredger was built in Holland in 1975 and she was brought to Kuwait the following year on completion.

At the time, she was one of the most powerful cutter suction dredgers in the world.

She was 83 metres in length with a beam of 16 metres. Her draft was 4.6 metres and she was fitted with 3 pumps.

She could reach a depth of 22 metres and was capable of pumping materials ashore up to a maximum distance of 3,700 metres without using additional booster pumps.

I joined this vessel as a second dredgemaster in 1977 and later became Captain until we sold it to the Koreans in the late 80's.
